About this Product
The original work of this clamshell was created in colored pencil. I collect clamshells from the beach and enjoy looking at the different colors and striations in each shell. Each one is a little bit different, until they sit in the sun and the beautiful grays and yellows turn a bright white.
This piece is a print of that original colored pencil piece. The print is 8x8 and is unframed.

Meet the Maker
As an artist, I believe education should be an important part of everyone’s journey, whether through a traditional university, or in my case, through live studio workshops and on-line courses. I study art daily to hone my skills and create paintings that are realistic and aesthetically pleasing without limiting my work to one medium or concept, as inspiration and ideas are ever-changing. My resulting works are influenced by experiences and little wisdoms gained along the way.
Each of my paintings captures something tangible that has spoken to me through the beauty of everyday life: people, places, spaces, flowers and landscapes - and I imbue my work with those fragments of myself I wish to share with the world. I long to build an art practice that encompasses this passion, and create art that is authentic, enchanting and sublime, fulfilling my dream of sharing these found parts of myself with others.
How it’s Made
This print of a piece was created by me in colored pencils on paper. I found the shell on the beach and decided to draw it as a simple still life. There is so much detail in these little shells, blues, grays and yellows. All the little lines connect and create such a beautiful little thing.
